Tribal Area Description
Ione Band of Miwok is a Tribal-designated statistical area (TDSA), a Census statistical geography delineated for a federally recognized tribe that does not currently have a reservation or off-reservation trust land base. Boundary records for Ione Band of Miwok show about 2.10 square miles (1,346 acres) for this tribal-designated area, centered near latitude 38.4586675 and longitude -120.8484525. The Ione Band of Miwok Indians Tribal Council understands and responds to the needs of the community, provides resources for the future, while integrating and preserving Miwok culture.
