Modoc in Oklahoma is an Oklahoma Tribal Statistical Area (OTSA), a Census statistical geography intended to represent the former reservation area associated with the tribe rather than a current reservation or trust land base. The Modoc Nation is a federally recognized Indian Tribe. In 2022, the Modoc Nation tribal members voted Robert Burkybile the new Chief of the Modoc Nation.
