About the Tribal Area
In Oklahoma, this federally recognized tribe uses Osage Reservation as its main reservation, and it spans about 2247 square miles of land plus roughly 57.3 square miles of water. FCC BDC records show 27 fixed providers and 6 mobile providers serving roughly 24,253 service locations, with current availability of 84.3% at 25/3 Mbps, 72.2% at 100/20, and 30.6% at 1000/100.
Tribal Area Description
A federally recognized tribe in Oklahoma, Osage is organized around reservation lands. The land base is relevant for broadband planning due to rural service coverage and middle-mile access constraints.
60 miles northwest of Tulsa, Osage Nation exercises governmental jurisdiction over the Osage reservation, a more than 2200 square miles area extending from Tulsa to Kansas. Osage Nation Principal Chief Geoffrey Standing Bear is serving his third term as head of the Executive Branch, where he continues the work of protecting and enhancing the Osage culture, language, and lands. The mission of Osage Nation Congress is to adopt a system of laws that promote the health, education, and well-being of Osage citizens. Osage Nation Broadband Infrastructure Investment Now Exceeds $72 Million The Osage Nation has secured $17,554,800 through the United States Department of. Official website of the Osage Nation, a federally-recognized Native American government. All Osage Nation Congressional sessions are available to watch or listen live. The Osage Nation Constitution vests the Osage Minerals Council with the powers to administer and develop the Osage Mineral Estate.
